About Champaca
Champaca flowers are white, with petals resembling those of a bergamot, displaying a variety of forms that exude a subtle Zen quality. Their fragrance is sweet, refreshing, and aromatic.
Fresh Champaca flowers release an invigorating floral scent. During the scenting process, you can observe the petals transitioning from white to burgundy, while the aroma gains a hint of spicy complexity. Every June and July in Shanghai, locals often string these flowers into garlands to wear on their wrists, creating a beautiful memory unique to the city.

About Taiwan Oolong
Jin Xuan Oolong is a type of Oolong from Taiwan known for its two primary aromas: the widely recognized creamy and traditional floral aroma. The creamy Jin Xuan Oolong has a robust flavor, but its strong scent can easily overpower the delicate fragrance of the flowers. Therefore, we choose to use the traditional floral Jin Xuan Oolong as the tea base, allowing its clearer aroma to blend perfectly with the scent of Champaca.
We have maintained a collaborative relationship with Taiwanese tea masters for over twenty years, and this strong partnership directly contributes to the stability of tea quality. This Jin Xuan Oolong has been meticulously crafted by him.

Our Story with Champaca Oolong
In 2021, we pioneered this Champaca Oolong, innovatively utilizing traditional scenting techniques combined with Champaca flowers. After receiving positive feedback, we decided to reintroduce our Champaca Oolong in 2025.
Not every Oolong tea is suitable for scenting; we experimented with larger leaf varieties such as Ali Shan Oolong and tested tea leaves from Fushoushan. Through repeated testing, we found that the smaller leaf Jin Xuan Oolong more easily absorbs the floral aroma while maintaining stable quality. We adhere to the principle that “one plus one is greater than two,” ensuring that the pairing of each tea with a specific flower is thoroughly tested to achieve our desired outcome.

The journey begins with the careful selection of tea leaves, handpicked at the peak of their freshness. Our artisans in Ali Shan, known for their misty mountains and rich soil, cultivate oolong tea that is renowned for its delicate flavor and aromatic profile. Meanwhile, in Nanping, the skilled tea makers focus on crafting high-quality scented tea, celebrated for its robust character and deep color.
Once the tea leaves are harvested, they undergo a meticulous process of withering, rolling, and oxidizing, which enhances their natural flavors. After this, we introduce the flowers, each chosen for their unique fragrance and health benefits. For instance, jasmine flowers lend a sweet, floral aroma, while chrysanthemum adds a refreshing, slightly herbal note.
The blending process is an art in itself. Our team experiments with different ratios, ensuring that the tea and flowers complement each other perfectly. This careful balancing act results in a harmonious scene that delights the senses.
